On another note, neither episode really rang out for me. There was the occasional funny moment, but maybe because I was watching the late night rerun and was sleepy, I really didn't feel like the quality was the same.

For me, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" was a decent episode that certainly rates well above any of the the clunkers, while "Rebirth" was up there with the best episodes of the original run.

Okay, the "Janeways reference guide" was a good joke. :)

I still kinda like Less Than Hero.

Of the new episode: I liked the first one, except I kept feeling like shouting at the TV until someone in the cast remembered "I Dated a Robot" with Lucy Liu.

I liked In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela more than most people online seem to. It would have been stronger if they hadn't dragged out the Zapp-reveals-his-deceipt gag until it wasn't funny anymore, but eh, whatchagonnado. (They could have taken the Star Trek / V'ger parody a little further instead.)

The episode disappointed me (while "Rebirth" was quite solid) but I agree that this was, by far, the worst part of it.
