Binary group for Futurama? Want to upload Episode 14 - I Second That Emotion

Is there a Binary file newsgorup for Futurama. I know there is one for south park, but I couldn't find one for Futurama. Since Futurama Archieve is on the move to a new site, the newer episodes are not there any more. I finally decided to DL that 217mb mpeg version of episode 14, I Second That Emotion, which is in very very very very excellent quality, but overkill, (where is the link)

and convert that into a 35mb real player version. I would like to load it to this group, but it might not be appropriate. Let me know what you guys think.

Post it to a Web Page, that way people with the higher bandwith can get it faster, as some Usenet carriers limit bandwith.

Well there could be an up side to posting futurama episodes- people would stop asking "where can I download blah blah blah" but another bad part would be that it might take a while for the computer to download all of the messages. Just thought I'd share.

How do you convert a MPEG into a RealVideo? I use the Real Producer G2 and the only options are to use AVIs and QTs. Do you have to convert the MPEG into AVI first?

Istead of selecting avi/mov/qt/wav/au select all other files, then import your mpeg. You'll need to buy the Producer to do this (I think they're up to version 7.0 now).

As others have stated, posting a binary to a non-binary group is a definite no-no. It can stir up a lot of unwanted problems. I would recommend either getting a free websight like xoom and posting it there, or use a generic usenet group like alt.binaries.mulimedia.

If you do post it, please post a message here sating where it is going up. I'd like to download it.

This piqued my interest. I've seen plenty of discussions on how to creat groups but nothing before on their destruction! They really can't get rid of them?

Replace fake hostname with sympatico for e-mail replies

Report unused newsgroups to your ISP, they'll look at it and if the only thing they see over a period of time is spam, they'll get rid of it....
