I've been watching Futurama straight through the past two weeks ... I downloaded it online. I'll probably get the DVDs now too. I just LOVE that show! I never really watched it while it was on, but watching it straight through is a much better experience (a lot of the gags are dependent on earlier episodes). Why was this wonderful show canceled? Poor ratings?

Yeah, me too. I loved the show, but love it more on dvd. If people keep buying the dvds, the show might come back. It worked for Family Guy!

While watching an episode with a flashback to Fry's cryogenic freezing, I noticed, for a second, a Nibblonian eyestalk coming out of the trash can near the desk. When they show the flashback footage, instead of just re-using the original, they had the animation modified so that Nibbler's shadow was missing.
This resulted in the destruction of the time space continuum. Which itself foreshadowed the importance Fry would ultimately have in the universe.

The also modified the animation in "Jurassic Bark." Instead of just Nibbler's shadow, you also see Fry's shadow from when he travels back in "The Why of Fry."
