Please don't make a habit of spamming your site here. In the few months I've been coming to this group the people are really cool and there are hardly any stupid advertisements. I'd really like to keep it that way.

And yes, I'm aware that I have a link to my own site in my sig. However, I feel that it's OK to post a link to your site if the site doesn't have any advertisements and it's on-topic for the newsgroup you're posting in. This is certainly true of FuturamaPlace.com (even though all the episode links are screwed up) and also of my Usual Suspects page, since I post most of my messages in alt.tv.simpsons. Since the Reality Syndicate is a site which looks like it could be of interest to people who also like Futurama, I think it's fine to just have it in your sig.

I knew somebody would bring that up. Oh, hey, I checked out your site just now. That guy who is on a mission in Venezuela looks almost exactly like my friend Paul who's been on his mission in Brasilia, Brazil since March of this year. That just made me feel like I was in the Twilight Zone. I liked WAVKing's picture though. Weird.

As to advertising, I think just putting your URL in with your signature is okay, regardless of the type of the site (although if you run a porn site and you're posting on a tightly religious newsgroup, that's probably not okay). I just have my signature and URL programmed into my email composer to put automatically at the end of any message I type. I was just a little annoyed by how many posts about his site he put in such a small space. If he was going to post that much, half of this newsgroup would be about Futurama Place! (I actually took a look there, but it took too long to load so I gave up on it).

I don't know. Maybe he's just Ad happy as I was when I first got my site. He'll calm down, I'm sure. You're proably reading this Andreas Carlsson, so no hard feelings.
