DYK: Slurm Factory reference

I have come to the conclusion that some, if not all of the writers of this show are Jewish. There are just too many obscure references to Hebrew and Judaism for this not to be the case.

Case in point: In the "Fry and the Slurm Factory" episode, Dr. Zoidberg is seen wearing a Slurm t-shirt while asking the head worm guy if he has any that "aren't so tight around the thorax." The lettering on this shirt, which would look like useless curves to most, is actually the Hebrew transliteration of the word "Slurm."

Case in point: As discussed, the "Today you are a robot" sign (in Hebrew) at the "Bot Mitzvah."

Case in point: At the beginning of Fry's race with the leader of the kid punks in the "Cryonic Woman" episode, the leader's girlfriend counts up to begin the race. Again, meaningless sounds to the untrained ear - but what she actually says is "One... two... THREE!" in Hebrew. (Also in this scene, the kids' mom tells them it's time to go to Hebrew School when she picks them up - this is the Jewish version of the Catholic Sunday School).

I thought the Jewish humor was pretty overt... if you know Jewish people or are Jewish.

Note in last Sunday's episode that Nimoy said he was living in a gefilte fish jar.
