In the couch scene at the start of tonight's episode of "The Simpsons," a set of five pneumatic tubes hung over the couch. Homer, Marge, Maggie, and Lisa fell from the first four tubes onto the couch. Fry landed on the couch via the fifth tube, before being sucked back in and replaced by Bart.

That was a great moment! The episode was full of jabs at FOX and the respect animation gets on TV. You could definitely hear Matt gnashing his teeth at the sorry state of Futurama distribution!
Matt ain't working on the Simpsons anymore... I doubt it was his idea, if that's what you meant.

The festival they were attending was very reminiscent (in name at least) of "Mike and Spike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival". Mike Judge, the co-founder, is the co-creator of "Beavis and Butthead" and "King of the Hill".
Also, the "animotion suit" was done several years ago with "Moxie the Dog" featuring Bobcat Goldwaith's voice.
I think this is one of the better Simpsons episodes lately. "Behind the Laughter" and the parody of "The Prisoner" were also good. Perhaps they are finally on a bit of an upswing.
