Lovitz did the red M&M (and John Goodman did the big peanut M&M) for the first several in the series, but he hasn't done any in quite a while.

Oh, and speaking of Billy West, how come he didn't become an instant celebrity when Ren and Stimpy were popular?

I thought he picked up R+S when the orginal actor left.

Billy West was always the voice of Stimpy. Ren was originally voiced by the show's creator, and Spumco's founder, John Kricfalusi. To say that John K "left" the show is putting it nicely. Nickelodeon fired the Spumco staff, robbed them of their most successful characters, and produced their own inferior Ren and Stimpy cartoons, thinking nobody would notice.
