A Futurama Movie

If there was a Futurama live-action movie, who would you cast to play the characters?

There should not be a Futurama live-action movie. Look how they screwed up Inspector Gadget, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Dudley Do-Right, Boris and Natasha, and soon Scooby Doo.

I'll agree those movies were pretty bad. But George of the Jungle was funny! And what about Masters of the Universe? That was a good one!

Admittedly, the track record ain't good. But I plan to see it anyway.

Did you see "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back"? There was a scene where they got a ride from Mystery Inc.

That said, I'd say you'd need someone with an ample bosom to play Leela, and who'd be prepared to have purple hair. Ummm, maybe Jennifer Love Hewitt, if she worked out a bit.

Fry - Someone thin and stupid - Adam Sandler? Nah, he's not thin. Seth Green? Too short.

Since whoever "plays" Bender, would never been seen and his voice would be dubbed in, I would find the guy who played the robot on Lost in Space. It would keep with the SciFi reference humor of the show.

All in all, if they are going to do a movie, I think they should go animated. Perhaps if they made a deal that all (or most) of the people involved works for a share of the return, rather than a flat rate, they might be able to pull it off.

I think an animated Futurama movie would be a better bet. I'll have to agree with that person who said live-action movies about cartoons just turn out to be a big flop.

Yes, Ray Walston died last year. At least he was in the "My Favorite Martian" movie. I also think his role as Judge Bone in "Picket Fences" was great.

I disagree with this one. Fry is an emotional guy, and Duchovny never shows any. Well, almost never. He was good in "Evolution".

That's what my wife said. I think Curtis looks more like Leela than Segal does. Of course, I'm relying on my memory of what they look like, so might be wrong.

And Curtis' personality is more like Leela's.
