Hey there folks, just had a day of freezing cold winter weather (Southern Hemisphere) and had a day of Futurama playing on the video in the background while I surfed the web and played Quake3, and I noticed a few things.. This is generally in relation to the last aired episode, "Where no fan has gone before" where the main storyline is the fact that Star Trek is a banned program, and no-one is even allowed to speak of it...
FIrst Episode: When Fry enters the Head Museum, he refers to Leonard Nimoy as Spock "Hey! Spock! Do that Hand thing..", Nimoy just replies he no longer does that (which could be seen to be true, no arms and hands) but the fact he didn't say to Fry, "My name is Leonard Nimoy, damnit!" would've been ammusing, the fact that even in the year 3000 he still can't get rid of the Spock name ;)
That's Lobstertainment: At the awards ceremony, there's a program going for one of the awards called "Star Trek: The Pepsi Generation", but they could probably get away with saying it's more a Pepsi program than Star Trek (anything to get the veiwers hooked I guess)
So yeah, other than showing my complete lack of a social life, I just thought it was funny to hear the Star Trek references pop up every now and then :)
Anyone else notice any more??
