Has anyone liked the new episodes they showed so far? I liked the one about the Ancient Egypt planet, and the one where Leela finally meets her parents. I didn't really like that one where Bender fell in love with the Planet Express ship, though. Hope this show keeps up. Maybe Sci-Fi channel will pick it up for the next season.

Just saw Godfellas, liked that one very much. Didn't care for the one with the Planet Express ship either, though that could change when I see it again on DVD (if more than one season ever comes out on DVD).

I'd be highly surprised if Fox cares that much about Futurama. If it's being pirated heavily enough for them to notice, it seems like they'd wake up and actually air it regularly.

If Fox decides that too many of their shows are being captured and posted before they have air, they will pay up for a private encryption system. Once they have it and all the affiliates have decoders, they'll just use it all the time.
When only a few hundred people had c-band systems, they didn't even scramble HBO. As systems got more popular, most stations paid for keys and scrambled their signals. When wild feeds meant a hundred or so die hard fans of a popular show could watch it ahead of time, they really didn't care. Now that they are getting posted on the internet and more people are getting access, they just might.

If they grabbed a feed on Sat morning and then waited until after Futurama aired on in CA to start posting, they would have 36+ hours to rip, filter, fix glitches, WinRAR, and start posting. Other than the lack of a logo and better potential quality, it would be the same as a rip of the broadcast show. Fox would not be more concerned about it than regular rips. Everyone would be better off for the wait except the ego of the posting group members.
Most network feeds have already gone digital. For owners of analog C-band dishes they gone. By the time I get my digital converter they will probably go scrambled. Another public pool ruined by first graders insisting on their right to pee in it.
