Intelligent people watch intelligent shows and stupid people watch stupid shows. The problem is, there are too few intelligent people and far too many idiots in the world.

Ah, but some shows make both groups happy.

The Simpsons has got to be the best example of this. You have your slapstick stupid-male-smart-female type comedy for the slow, and the heap after heap of politcal satire for the smart.

I watch the Simpsons for both. Barney's beautiful yet unfortunately named movie "Puke-a-hontas" was hilarious for it's spoof of foreign indies (especially Italian and French), but "Football in the Groin" had, as Homer put it so well, a football in the groin.

And you had to love that "boing" noise when the football hit.
