And, yes, that WAS Bart, Lisa & Maggie in the big screen! It's from the Ullman Short, "Making Faces" (MG09). It's the part at the end, where they were looking at the mirror, crying out, "WARRGH!!! WE'RE DOOMED!!!"

And, speaking of Simpsons, when Fry said, "I like those odds", he said it just like Homer did in "Lisa's First Word" (9F08), when Krusty offered to personally spit on every 50th Krusty Burger at the final day of the 1984 Olympics. That's my all-time favorite Simpsons episode, BTW.

There's an actual star named "Atik", in the constellation Pleiades, that's also known as Omicron Persei. I imagine that if this star has any orbiting bodies, one might be called #8.
