I do feel that parts of Futurama have been inspired by Captain Saucer, and I especially feel that Leela is an amalgam of Polly Phemus and Flexia Bast (both have striking visuals). If you know my history, it doesn't take too much conjecture to place Groening in Panter's living room reading CS in around the '83-'85 timeframe. OTOH, I wonder about how deliberate Groening was in using my stuff. Sometimes I have the feeling that he read CS, forgot about it, and woke up years later with a brave new idea.

What I really want is to revive InterStellar OverDrive, or at least get some recognition from fandom and prodom that the small press comic that they picked on and deliberately ignored in the '80s and early '90s was good enough to be a respectable influence on a major media production.
