I'm sure they're reading this.

Like they care, like I care for that matter.

Now I like Futurama like the rest of us, but Fox has shown by now that they don't care what happens to the show, they're only interested in fufilling their contract.

I'm glad that we have the DVD's coming out and Cartoon Network showing Futurama, but I've given up on Fox giving a hoot anymore, just let it go already.

Sweet zombie Jesus! Where do you live, son? It's $9.50 here (pretty much anywhere within an hour of NYC) and in the summer, depending on the theater, it will go up as high as $11.50!!

Needless to say, I see about two movies (in theaters) per year...

I keep all my ticket stubs and I just looked at two recent examples. I have a "Red Dragon" stub from October 4, 2002 with a $7 price and an "Old School" ticket stub from about a month ago with a $4.50 matinee price. Yeah, matinees around here are in the $5-7 range, but you're absolutely correct about the people at the movies, which is another reason why I refuse to pay $9.50-$11.50 to see a movie in a theater full of obnoxious people talking throughout with cell phones and beepers going off the entire time. What happened to the ushers?

I have a kickass home theater setup with better sound and video than most theaters. If I have to wait 6-8 months for something to release on DVD, so be it. I'll enjoy it so much more, it's worth the wait most of the time.

However, there are three movies that I will see in theaters during 2003 and at that, I'll wait at least a month so crowds start to die down: X-Men2, Matrix Returns and Return of the King. It's mostly because I can't wait to see them, so I'm just not going to :o)

I'm giving up on Fox in general. I'll watch the things on Fox that I already watch (Simpsons, That 70's Show, Malcolm in the Middle, King of the Hill, and any remaining Futuramas they actually decide to show), but for anything new, I'll wait until it shows up in syndication or on DVD.

Watching them give the Futurama treatment to Firefly was the last straw. (Except Firefly got boned even worse than Futurama, because it didn't get enough episodes to reasonably make it into syndication, so all that's left there is to wait for the DVDs).

OK, I'm not American (I'm English), but don't you got Sky One over there? on, like, satellite or something? We got it over here, and it has all the fox shows, but it's far more reliable when it comes to scheduling. Well, we got it on satellite and cable over here, at least. I think it's owned by Fox, too, but like I said, they got much more dedication 2 please their viewers, I think. So they filter out all the crappy Fox shows, and get the good ones either cheap or free, I don't know which. All you yanks should look into it sometime. And all you brits should get cable (not Telewest, it's shit), so you can see all the new series's of stuff, instead of waiting for them to come out on Ch4. Chow!

I wish we got Sky One over here in the States. About 3 years ago when I was in the Army, I was stationed in Germany and we got Sky One with our cable service. I used to watch it all the time and I remember they would have all-day marathons of the Simpsons every couple of months. Do they still do that? I believe they also aired Futurama 2 times a week.

Anyways, great channel.
