Perhaps we're all forgetting that Scruffy was killed in his last appearance on the show. Of course this was in a "what if" scenario...but this may be more than a coincidence.

In Parasites Lost, Leela Kills the Professor, Hermes, Bender and Zoidberg. Then she goes to bed with Fry. Of course, it was only the micro droids and she never finished it with Fry, but it is an interesting sequence. When Leela kills, she gets hot for Fry.
