Santabot says "ask" instead of "axe"

Nearly at the end, after Santabot rescues Bender. Santabot: "I guess what I'm _asking_ is... Bender... won't you join my slain..."

Well, how long ago was Santabot built? Maybe they were still saying "ask" then; and living on the north pole of Venus most of the time, he probably wouldn't have bothered to contemporize.

Actually, I think ask is still in some use in 3000. They understood Fry when he said 'ask', but Leela didn't even know what 'Christmas' meant.

Of course, it's quite possible that the writers or whoever did Santabot voice just made a mistake.

=v= I don't think so. Note that that's about 200 years ago, and I don't think Mom's that old. The Professor said "Friendly Robot Company," not "Mom's Friendly Robot Company," so my guess is that Mom took over an existing business at some point. <_Jym_>

Santabot wasn't INTENDED to be evil anyway, so even if Mom was responsible, it wasn't an evil move.
