Tow Unagi

Hope I spelled unagi right!. Anyway, I just got back form cardiff and before reading a;; 600 of the lovely posts you people had left me, I managed to get the time to watch TOW unagi, or mixed-tape and was wondering, why was the tape with janice on it in monica's bedroom, 2nd Monica would probably recognize it knowing as the tidy organized freak she is and 3rd, surely chandler would recognize the tape! As for the rest of the episode, I had mixed feelings, the unagi bit was hilarious especially at the end, but I felt Joey's story was lame, he can't be that dumb surely!?

As for the tape, why did she wait until the next day before playing it? When my wife buys me a CD (note: not a compilation tape she's lovingly prepared for me!) I pop it in the CD player right away. I don't wait until THE NEXT DAY before playing it!

It's Chandler's bedroom too. The trunk probably contained lots of his personal stuff, and Monica respected his privacy (she's not like Rachel or Phoebe). Janice may have given Chandler the tape for his 26th birthday when she was more interested in any relationship than he was, so he never played it through. Presumably Chandler wrote out a new label.

Monica felt guilty because she hadn't made him a present, so instead she concentrated on rewarding him. Then when she *did* play the tape, she got as far as "The Way You Look Tonight", then stopped until he came home.

I think he was referring to when they were looking for the christmas presents in TOW the Routine. I am sure that she doesnt go through ALL his stuff, I think that she would give him some privacy. I dont see Monica as one that would take that away.
