Spoiler

The One With Joey's Award - Ross has a boyfriend! Joey loses? We demand a recount.

Synopsis

Joey gets nominated for an award. He loses but steals a trophy. Rachel makes him give it back.

Monica is worried that her and Chandler ..... You've seen this twelve times already. Eventually they hug and stare lovingly into each other's eyes.

One of Ross' slacker students tells him that he flunked his midterm because he was in love with Professor Gellar. Ross is flattered until he finds out that he is being scammed

My Thoughts

Alert: I am about as interested in seeing another fifteen seconds in the life of Sean "Puffy" Combs as I am in watching the entire run of Three's Company naked in a meat freezer with Barry Manilow.

Tonight's question before the panel is "Would you like to see Joey Tribiani become a star?"

Of course we all wish him well, but would it destroy the show if he became semi to really famous? I have mixed feelings. As I've noted in the past, Joey seems funnier when he has money. After all he's liable to buy anything farm animals, yachts, expensive plastic birds. Would he still be our pal Joey or would things start to get ugly faster than the last season of Roseanne? I recently watched that episode where Rachel and Joey exchange books ("Beth is really sick") and I am now totally convinced they should be together. Ross will have to happy with marrying Phoebe. Of course, that ends when she gets bored with him and starts wandering the lonesome highways like Bruce Banner, the Incredible Hulk, leaving Ross desperately trying to divorce a women he can't locate. Ross will of course pay Ursula $500 to take her place, but chances are she disappears as well right before anything gets signed. This will set up the hour long drama of our dreams "Bowling For Ditzy Blondes." NBC pays people big money for these ideas, and I plan to be just as friendly at the top as those jerks I worked for right out of college!

Are there other commercials besides the ones for Tomcats and the video game with the drunken squirrel. What does this say about my demographic?

Oh no Ross is doing dinosaur imitations. Can someone save this character? Is there any less important thing to teach college kids than dinosaur trivia. As far as I'm concerned if you know that Dino was purple and there aren't any of them around anymore you have the topic covered. What in God's name are those thousands of poor kids who chose their major right after seeing Jurassic Park going to do for a living. Ross probably has one of the only twelve teaching jobs in the country.

Oh my God look at that pink swirl top Jennifer Aniston is wearing? There's no good writing like a hot chick!

Ross: Am I giving off some kind of sexy professor vibe? Uhh ....no.

Jennifer in a red evening dress! These guys are brilliant. From now on every movie pitch I E-mail to my buddy Grant is gonna start out - "Imagine Jennifer Anniston in a ..." I bet they charge thousands for these tips in graduate writing programs.

Best Phoebe line in a long time. Phoebe: Does this mean that putting out doesn't get you love?

My theory on tonight's episode I see this whole thing as a not too subtle barb at the Emmys. Despite being the most popular ensemble on television, the cast is oh-for-the Emmys. It's weird because I can't think of any other show in the history of television where you are as unable to identify the star of the show. Maybe someday when they are old and gray they'll all show up for a special award and recreate the famous fountain scene.

My theory on tonight's Monica/Chandler plot Zzzzzzzzzzzz

A personal issue Maybe it's the fact that I cover Jack and Jill too but I'm pretty sure I can do without seeing another engaged couple ski rough pre wedding terrain plot for at least as long as the actors insist on wearing clothes.

It must be white boy day! I never get tired of that phrase. This was Ross' best episode in a long time. You have to love those students he has in that class. Were they exposed to enormous amounts of lead paint seconds after birth or what? I don't care what anyone says though. Ross was flattered.

Go out there and waste some time Lisa Obviously, those super size episodes left everyone on staff parched for ideas because the last five minutes of the show were a complete waste of time. It wasn't even good enough to be on the next blooper show. If you guys really need to fill screen time let me watch something funny like Joey eating pancakes or Ross hitting on a girl.

Mid-season Appearance Report Card Jennifer: A+ - at the peak of her game Matt - the one without a drug problem - A - Simple but elegant Lisa - B - Showing some milage The Gellers - C - bring on the Jenny Jones make over people! Matt - D - It takes a big man to admit he needs help. Stop listening to those Eminem odes to Vikaden and feel better. Stop partying with the Arquette's - You're not in their league.
