Could anyone explain to me what kind of school exactly this "Fame" school (I forget the actual name) Jennifer Aniston and a bunch of other celebrities went to, *is*. What do they teach there? Is it college or high school? I'm really curious. Thanks.

It's a high school which I gather teaches the regular subjects, but specialises in the performing arts. Think NY's version of Sylvia Young's and you'd be just about there.

Quick web searching brings up "New York's High School of Performing Arts (better known as the Fame school)" (about Jennifer Aniston), "Erica Gimpel, who plays Coco, actually is a student at the New York High School for Performing Arts, the prototype school on which the series storylines are based," (a TV series review from the 1980s), "And we have Lori Singer, who, in the show, plays the cello and is studying dance and drama. Lori attended Performing Arts High at the same time she studied music at Julliard in New York." I'd say on that basis it's NY HS of PA, but one reasonable quote for "for".
