"Joey" laughs

I just watched the second ep of Joey and it had its moments. The acting was rather lame (esp Drea -- could someone have told her to tone down her anger? her comic acting looked a bit forced) but it was okay. And I agree with someone else who said Andrea Anders was less hot than Ashley Scott (not sure about the name). And Anders certainly wore bras throughout the eppy. LOL

Well I finally saw it too. It took a hell of a long time to download (aprox 17 hrs!). Stupid Bittorrent! I must say that it's a lot better than expected and I actually enjoyed it. I miss Ashley-Scott though. In Friends we had the really hot Rachel, although I wasn't a real Rachel fan, it was still nice to look at. In Joey there's no real babe, but hey. who am I to talk; I'm a three :-)

Conclusion: I'm a lot more positive now than I was after the pilot. Saw Matt on Ellen by the way and read the article in the TV guide. I guess he's under a lot of pressure to make this work.

IMO it was pretty good... I think it has a good potential, the characters work well together, the humor is not too forced, and last but not least, Joey is very Joey ;-) ciao

Wow, for an "expert on all things," you missed the fact that this happened to the actress Drea de Matteo on her previous series, "The Sopranos." It's the role she just won the Emmy for in best supporting actress drama category. So before you call a fact obscure, take a second to look it up. You may find you are the only one who's never heard of it.

Oh.... Right, The Sopranos. Sorry, I don't have HBO. I get all the movies I want by P2P - for free. Haven't ever seen the Sopranos, but I still knew the actress was on that show from some prior web research.

I agree that the part was played a little aggresive, but that's how Italians are, kinda "revenge based personaity" Maybe she was drawing on her Sopranos character. She doesn't want to lose the relationship with her son.

Apparently that was the problem. The test audience thought that there was no chemistry between Matt and Ashley Scott and for some reason it is told that wearing no bra is another reason. But for the life of me I can't imagine that this was her choice. There most be somebody else responsible for the clothes worn by the actors.

The original pilot didn't test well with audiences in California because Ashley Scott clearly neglected to wear a bra and it's very obvious. The original pilot is easily available on the sharing networks. If you can't get it, then here are stills of her scenes in the show:
