A man and his duck...

...and while I would like to mean Chandler and his duck, I have an amusing, yet serious question.

I am not kidding you, but a little duck followed me home, and now we are taking care of the cute little thing. Yes, it does like following me around (not to the bathroom, heheh) and it likes going on the pillow in the living room.

Now for my question...how would one go about taking care of a duck for a long time, at least until it can learn to fly. Hey, I tried asking for help, and all of you seem nice. :-) I'm guessing feeding it grains and stuff, but besides that, what else would I need to do?

Call a vet. Ducks can be very difficult to care for and need lots of space, and are very territorial. I would Make sure it made it to the wild or a nice refuge (sp) area that cares for wild animals.

I did call a vet, and will be visiting them soon. Meanwhile, there WAS a refuge near here, but those darn wildfires forced the closure of it, which is quite a shame. This is what I get for living in the fire-infested portion of California. On the bright side, I inquired with many people, and learned about its diet, their attitudes, health, and other important things. Don't worry, we have a ton of space where we live, so that isn't a problem. =)
