Tonight's Episode (2-8)

I thought tonight's episode was hilarious! It was funny to see how all the Friends turned 30. I think Ross' birthday was the least funniest, and Monica's was the most. Monica being drunk was great, I was rolling. And the Phoebe-Joey kiss wasn't as big of a deal as I thought it was going to be, but it was sweet. I think it was weird how Rachel and Tag broke up, but oh well. One of the funniest lines: "Stop hogging it!!" (Joey in regards to the scooter Tag was riding down the hall) Overall, a pretty good episode. I love how after seven years these guys can still make me laugh harder than any show on television.

I definately liked this episode. Monica being drunk was hilarious; I nearly couldn't stop laughing. I think Ross's scenario was funny especially when Phoebe gets into the car and Ross tries to get out between the two cars and then Phoebe gets out and says "Woo That was fun. Who Wants to go next?" or something like that. And especially when the car alarm went off and everybody starting running. And once again Joey was there again for Phoebe as usual.

Overall I think that this is the best episode so far this season. It sort of played up to the first couple of seasons. But you could tell that this wasn't as long as last week's with 40 minute so Friends; 24 minutes in all probably because there wasn't really enough scenes that were filmed for the 40 minute slot.

I give this episode a 9.5 out of 10.

I enjoyed this episode too. My favorite segment was Monica's drunkeness. Could we see Cox's first emmy-nod for this eppy? hmmm....

And by the way...Why do we always celebrate Rachel's Birthday? What's up with that? Did you notice that we have yet to see a Chandler birthday? And up until yesterday, we never saw a Monica birthday either, but then again, hers was mixed in with Pheobe and Ross'.

well that makes one of us. Just kidding. Well not really. I thought this was a typical season 7 eppy--sub par, a few funny lines, and squeaky ross. Not too bad. But not too great either.

Ross's story was definitely the weakest of the main stories, but I had to laugh when the bald guy said "How hot are we??" to him in the end.

And Tag is finally gone, which means yay! Hopefully, the writers will stop these dull Rachel-at-work stories now, and come up with some really good storylines for Rachel. And another thing: Is Rachel becoming broody? It sure seemed that way to me, but maybe she just wanted kids so that she could wear Prada maternity clothes.

Phoebe's birthday was full of surprises, and it's always funny to see Ursula and Phoebe together. However, I guess we should start calling her Ursula Pamela now. Joey and Phoebe's kiss was sweet, but I hope it isn't a hint of what's coming in the future.

Monica's birthday party was by far the funniest with lots of laughs. E.g. Phoebe starting to take her top off, Joey wanting to help Monica get changed, Ross drunk, Jack Geller's tux, and Monica herself of course. And did you notice that Ross grabbed his father's video-camera to film his sister's every move? :)

I wish we could have seen more from Chandler and Joey's birthdays, though. ("Why, God, why?!?" - Joey)

i think it might be. When phoebe walked off camera, she was smiling. This was clearly intentional.

I'm surprised this didn't get any longing looks from Ross. And relieved. Poor guy's been through enough from her. I hope if this does become a R&R thread that it's initiated by Rachel and we see Ross needing to be won over for once. I tried to think back of which of Rachel's ex'es might fill the role she needs, and Ross is really the only one (now that she's scraed off Joshua).

I doubt it. It *was* a flashback. And while she was all smiley at the end, she's always been someone who's flirted easily and gracefully accepted compliments.

I think the "Why, God, why?!?" was funny the first time, amusing the second time, boring the third and downright irritating after that. This seems to be the current thing for the series, get a good joke and play it into the ground (Chandler's camera smile for instance).

Wasn't she hoping that Prada would start making maternity clothes by the time she needed them (I got the impression that one of the things she was dreading about being pregnant was the clothes). That said, I think that she is starting to get broody and want to start a family. Having a close friend who is getting married/planning to have children can help bring on those emotions. Until now, she could always use the excuse that all her friends are single so they all must be too young for that period in their lives. Turning 30 may also have gotten her to think about her biological clock.

Have they ever shown a scene inside Ursula's apartment before? Hasn't Ursula always made Phoebe stay outside the door in the past? Is this a sign that things may be thawing between the Buffay twins (and how many times is Ursula going to be responsible for Phoebe's identity being stolen?)?

And quickly turning it on Phoebe when she asks Joey for help with her top?

I loved Chandler trying to keep the party going and peace with Monica's parents.

Nah, he's probably (and hopefully) gone for good. Didn't he have a contract for six episodes? He appeared in 704, 705, 708, 709, 712 and now 714, so he's out of the picture. :)

I hope so. And I hope they manage to locate that Swedish runaway who has Phoebe's birth certificate. :) AFAIK we've never seen her apartment before. Phoebe looked inside her apartment in 614 TOW Chandler Can't Cry, but was obviously so shocked by what she saw in there, that perhaps we should be happy we never got to see it back then.

Another sign that a Ross+Phoebe union is in the works perhaps? :) And also how Phoebe said: "Get in line!!" to Rachel when they were looking at Ross's new car..

Yep. I thought it was so funny when Chandler grabbed her and told her parents that it wasn't "nice", it was necessary.. :)
