Hi. I am new here and just wanted to add my two cents worth. I have watched Friends off and on for years but just lately have stated to watch it daily. I started watching more after C & M got together.
I am a big C & M fan. I really like these two together for several reasons. It is the first time that two stars have come together on any show that I have watched where they have had a positive impact on each other's lives. Chandler has a higher self esteem now and he feels safe with Monica. He feels safe enough to give unconditional love to someone. Something I think he has wanted to do for quite some time.
Monica is more relaxed and more true to herself since she has been with Chandler. She is free to be exactly who she is and she is enjoying it. They love each other unconditionally. Chandler is proud of her and she desires him more than he thought anyone ever would.
Also Spolier space- * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * - As for Richard- I think the last episode had more to do with Chandler and whether he would fight for what he wants (and what he learned in the process) than whether Monica would chose Richard or Chandler. She went to Richard to understand what was happening, not to make a decision between them. She talked about Chandler and how unfair it all was. She never made any move to let Richard think she still had feelings for him. And as far as Monica being with Richard - not for me. Richard is the same with or without Monica in his life, Monica has a bigger impact on Chandler's life and He on hers. And Chandler has a great sense of humor - a big turn on to alot of women. I liked the end of the season finale, because I think the point was that people who fall in love with their best friend and it is returned feel that they have been twice blessed.
