Offical Title of S1 E1?

What was the official title of S1 E1?

I've seen it referred to as just Pilot, The One Where Monica Gets a Room Mate, or as the box set calls it, The One Where it all Began

The DVD set calls it The Pilot. It's refered to in the commentaries as The Pilot.

This makes the most sense - particularly as the final episode is called The Last One, much like the 100th episode is called The One Hundredth.

All the episodes are titled like people would refer to them. So people are more likely to call the pilot The Pilot (or maybe The First One ;-) rather than The One Where it All Began or The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate or The One Where Rachel Moves In or The One Where Ross Grabs a Spoon, etc, etc.

I have seen it refered to as the Pilot and TOW it all began.. Although I think the Pilot is more widely used..

I really think the DVDs have to take precedence here when talking about the official title. Even there it's called "The Pilot" when the powers that be could have changed the title, they didn't.
