Things go from bad to worse, from the ridiculous to the sublime, and from there into a Kafka-esque setting, for Lee and Jenny.
All Jenny wants is to take Lee home and allow him some dignity in his last days. It appears that the powers-that-be are working against this simple goal.
The case manager from Lee's doctor's medical group is denying the right of Jenny to take Lee home! The case manager, a nurse(!!), says Jenny cannot take Lee home and that he has to go to a Hospice.
I am looking into Patient's Rights, for Jenny, and would appreciate any imput. I am not familiar with this area of law and, so far, my findings seem barbaric. For reasons other than for the patient, hospitals and medical groups are frightened of law suits if they release patients in Lee's condition.
