Does anybody know exactly how to make DVD Video Caps on the computer with a DVD player installed in their computer? Because I am trying to make Video Caps from the Best of Friend Uncut Episodes but I haven't had any luck doing so.
I did the print screen thing and all I get is a blank screen. Maybe it's a block on the DVD but I had a friend who was able to make screen caps from the Season 7 episodes, yet those were released in the UK not USA.
Any tips?
I believe you need a video capture program to do it... my DVD software comes with a video capture tool in it that works good, but not all DVD software comes with it so you may have to get a third party video capturing program or DVD software that has that kind of tool. I know there's one vid cap program called Hypersnap DX that I have. Print screen key never works for any video, so it's not a block on the DVD.

I've done DVD vidcaps, but they were from an external player, so I doubt that helps any!
On the dvd player program on my computer..on the control panel there is a picture of a camer, when you click it it makes a screen cap. The program is power dvd. Im not sure what your using...but hopefully that helps. Check your help section on the dvd player program. search index for screen capture.

Pressing the 'P' key should do that on mine. Must test it...
It works - unfortunately it screwed up the aspect ratio though. I guess it only works properly on 4:3 ratio.
you should be able to adjust the ratio size yadda yadda in settings somewhere

I guess so, but why would I bother when I could capture it correctly with my WinTV card off an external DVD player in the first place. :)
