Is there any difference between buying Best of Friends vol 1 and 2, as well as 3 and 4, as opposed to buying the 1-4 set? Is the content the same? I can't find a decent review anywhere. thanks

You get a different box, but otherwise the DVDs are exactly the same.

The "sets" are basically the separate volumes packaged in a slipcover. Definitely the way to go if you're going to buy all of the discs, since you'll get a slightly better price.
