Joey and Rachel (The One Where Joey Dates Rachel )

So the show just ended, and although I didn't like the idea of Joey and Rachel, after seeing it. I kinda like it. So Joey has a crush on Rachel. The actually seemed nice together. Of course Ross and Rachel and a Joey/Pheebs thing always fit more, but then who would have guessed Chandler and Monica in season one or two.

Maybe it's because Joey is becoming the coolest Friend (It used to be Chandler before he got 'involved'). So now you are kind of happy for Joey.

What do the rest of you think?

Absolutely thumbs up. I thought it was gonna suck, I was worried about it, but it turned out the be awesome. I like how they're handling it.

Well, I have to say I was pleased with the way it went. As a very staunch R&R fan, I'm still holding judgement, but I was very glad to see the way they handled it. I was relieved to see that Joey was not being manipulated by Rachel. She seemed genuine, and he was fantastic. I mean, Joey came off as vulnerable, but not weak, and totally loveable.

I saw an expression on Joey's face that I've never seen Matt do before. It was absolutely appropriate for the moment. I'll have to watch the video again to document in my head the little moments that I liked like that one because I can't remember where that expression was.

Ross was kind of whiney again. I have to admit that helped me accept the R&J chemistry. Even though I consider myself a big R&R fan, I have to say that he will need to get over himself or risk losing my support. It would be great if he could met some nice gal and move to Suffolk Country, like out on Montauk Point or something. (For those who don't live in the greater NY area, that would be on the far east tip of Long Island.)

Well, I need to get back to work. Enjoyed the break!

I never thought I'd say this but --- THUMBS UP! I love how sweet Joey was tonight. The lead in was just perfect! I think they would be a cute couple. I have to say, I was very impressed with MLB's acting. There usually isn't very much depth to Joey's character, so it was surprising to me to see some of his reactions -- especially at the end, when he said he was terrified.

I would have thought that a Joey/Rachel scenario would be pretty gimmicky, but it looks like this is going to be a very strong storyline.

R Overall I thought it's a good episode except for Ross' part which was kind of weak. I'm not sold yet that J and R will be actually together and if so, I'll have to see it to be convinced that it's doable. They set it up well with the commercials--I thought they would be kissing at the end.

And am I the only one that likes Mondler?

Big thumbs up.    I've been loving the idea of Joey/Rachel ever since
the episode when Rachel was going to move out and Joey didn't want her
to leave.   So he was going to fix the apartment, so there will be room
from the baby. I thought that was so sweet that he was willing to make
some adjustments to get Rachel to stay.   He got her to stay.   I
totally picture them raising the baby together.   I'm totally loving
Joey this season.

I hope they keep this story going. Even if nothing happens between Joey/Rachel, I'm going to enjoy the tease.
