Has this ever happened to you

Well, I was sitting around my apartment yesterday, and at about 10ish, something was on TV making me think of the line "I wonder how many people would see Jurrasic Parka" (Ross). Well, sure enough, on the 11pm rerun of Friends, that's the episode that was on.

Personally, I guess it could happen often, because all day long I think of Friends lines in relation to everyday life, so I guess it's no big deal that one of them lines up with a rerun. It has happened to me before, but it's still pretty cool.

Has it ever happened to any of you. I guess I'm targeting people in the states, because in London, you can just watch the ep you were thinking of, and you probably don't get two reruns a day like we do...

Yup this happens to me alot, I think about bits from Friends and Simpson's and they are on the same day or the day after it;s quite freaky.

I have even a more bazaar story. I had a dream that I was in the cafeteria study reading some book that started out about a dust bowl and then some guy was getting into a truck with a truck driver..anyway, if you haven't caught on yet. That's from the Grapes of Wrath. Which I didnt know at the time of the dream. That was 2 months ago. Today in my cafeteria study, I started reading the first 2 chapters of The Grapes of Wrath, which were exactly how I had dreamed it 2 months back. Weird huh? Or one time I dreamed that my aunt lost $1000, 4 days later she lost $1000.

No, I am not! Cause I can never tell if the dream will happen or not. about a month ago I had a dream taht my father died! It seemed so real I was crying when i woke up. So of course..You get it?

Sorry I freaked out a little there. But that dream bothered me for months, and I felt awful. plus it was really late for me :o)My dad means a lot to me and I dont get to see him that much so..ok..stopping you get the point.

I will try not to freak out like that..

Depends if you have Sky One or not. Thursdays we get a choice of 3 different eps (rerun at 6 on C4, rerun at 6 on Sky One, new ep at 9 on Sky One). Mondays it's on C4 at 6 and Sky at 10, Weds on Sky at 10. But you're right, we do have the advantage of tapes/DVDs.

Fisrt of all, WOW, that's a confusing schedule! Second, we actually get 12, not 14. Mon thru Fri, we get repeats at 7pm and 11pm. And on Thursdays, we get the new one at 8pm. Saturdays, there is one at 7pm as well. This is for Los Angeles. I'm not sure what it's like over the rest of the country.

Sacramento, CA has a weird schedule, from what I've heard of the rest of the U.S. Our syndicated eps run at 6pm and 7:30pm M-F, 7:30pm Sat and 11:35 pm Sun. Equally weird: the eps that are referred to as "Early" air at 7:30, the "Late" ones air at 6. Also, they air on two different stations. Our NBC station owns the local WB affiliate, and they air the weekday reruns on the WB affiliate, but the weekend ones on the NBC affiliate. It's all very, very confusing. I need a reminder service (student tv.com) to keep track of what episodes are on when.

I think this is the same schedule as the Central Time Zone. The Eastern TZ (eastcoast) gets the same schedule as the Pacific TZ (westcoast), generally.

For some reason, the 2 time zones in the "center" of the US have their "family viewing period" from 7p to 10p, while the coasts' familiy viewing period is 8p to 11p, and I have no idea why this is, or why there's even a difference. Do people on the coasts stay up later????

This means that if you wanted to show something at the beginning of the "family viewing time", you'd need to broadcast it at 8p EST, which also works for CST (because they're 1 hr behind), then broadcast it again at 7p MST (2 hrs behind EST), then AGAIN at 8pm PST (3 hrs behind EST).

Ideally, you'd think you'd want to leave the EST and CST alone, but swap the "family viewing period" in the Moutain TZ and Pacific TZ. That way, you could broadcast something once at 8p EST (also 7p CST), then again at 8p MST (also 7p PST) i.e. only twice, intead of 3 times.

Of course this would only pertain to nationwide broadcasts, like satellite, or somesuch.

No, you see the broadcast it at 8 EST time and it is also playing in the central time zone.. Which in the central time zone it is now 7. Get it? Then they do the same for the west coast, except..this doesn't make any sense..oh I get it now. You would think that they would broadcast it in the middle time zone..not Central the one after.. I think they do that cause LA is special or somethign lol? I dont know.

I think videos take up too uch room, so I'm not buying anything until I can get it all on DVD, or even better, stored as M-pegs on the computer (because picture quality isn't a big issue with this). But it's got so I can't eat dindins without an ep in front of me.

Tonight at 6pm, Channel 4 has 108 "TOW Nana Dies Twice" where the gang goes to Ross & Monica's grandmother's funeral; while also at 6pm, Sky One has 412 "TOW the Embryos" where one of the questions is about the funeral.
