Continuing the recent fad for polls (e.g. where are you and do you want sp**ler space) here's another one. Who knows it may help us as a group know whether we've got the spoiler space dividing line in the right place.
A) Watching episodes as they premiere in North America - currently on 803 B) Downloading/being mailed episodes just after they premiere - probably currently on 801/2 C) Finished watching season 7, waiting for season 8 to be screened. D) Currently in the middle of season 7. E) Still waiting for 7 or watching an earlier series.
Perhaps we should have another category as I feel really slighted by the above. I am *not* an "A" because I work Thursday nights...so I just wait and download them from the web - technically a "B" I suppose, but what the heck is with that venomous comment?!?!??!?

Oviously some of you are taking the debate over spoliers a little to seriously. I didn't mean to have anyone hate me. I'm sorry that I feal differently then everyone else <well almost everyone>.
I have gotten two letters says I am a troll, and thats unfair. I have never did anything to be one. I have never spoiled anything (on purpose) nor have I insulted anyone (that I could remember). I just wanted to add to a debate that was going on and now I feal like Im being shunned unfairly.
I am sorry that you think I am here to troll the board. I'm sorry that I don't think like the statis qo.
The seperate but equal thing, Its just an anaogy. Saying there are two different newsgroups. One for the US and one for the UK. There both well read and populated. My whole arguement was that they had there own board, and if they wanted to not be spoiled they wouldn't be reading in here.

If you notice I never stated that YOU were a troll. To your defense I have noticed you hiding the spoilers and am sure that many appreciate it. I do think you are here trying to stir up stuff periodically, but as long as it stays clean I have no problem with that....you find out some interesting things by doing it periodically. =)
Keep up with spoiler space and lets all continue to enjoy watching and talking about Friends while it is still on.
I don't hate you. I don't understand your attitude at all, but I don't hate you. There is a difference between hatred and criticism. There is even a difference betwen criticism and disagreement. Sometimes the only distinction people recognize is between disagreement and hatred, which is unfortunate.
You certainly have stirred up trouble, which is one thing trolls do. Having said that, it's obviously not enough to make you a troll, there are other attributes necessary as well. I said you were either a troll (or was it the other guy?) or someone with a 12 year old personality, because I honestly couldn't think of any other logical choices.
You are not being shunned. You are being admonished. There is a difference. And it is entirely fair, because even though your argument may be slightly plausible, it is hard to think of a reasonable motivation for pressing that argument as opposed to simply doing what is both a nice gesture and *really* easy to do.
I take note of the fact that your actions recently show that you do understand the above and are adjusting, and given that, you are quite welcome here. Keep up the good work.
That's "status quo". You should know that to some that phrase is interpreted as a pejorative term (an argumentative term, if you wish). It tempts one to ask, are you really sorry about this, or is it something like taking pity on those who don't have your point of view?
What you call the "status quo" in this newsgroup is actually the long established practice of this newsgroup (and other newsgroups as well), and though it has no weight of authority behind it (this being an unmoderated newsgroup), it is worthy of more than being ignored. By the same token, you can't just come in here and unilaterally decide the rules of the newsgroup either.
Yes, we have our own way of doing things in this newsgroup, but we also are patient and friendly even as we criticize, if you'll give us the chance.
According to those here who *do* participate in the one in the UK, you are wrong. That one apparently has severe problems, and the people come in here because it's a significantly better newsgroup, much more conducive to quality discussion. I don't know this personally, having never tried out the UK group, I'm just relaying what I've heard.
A and B ;-) Put me down for A though and FYI the episodes are online within hours of airing at #downloadFriends on DALnet so B is currently on 803 as well, but 802 is a good assumption since it may take a week for someone to get an episode.
