Is the mother of Phoebe, the mother as Frank? If is like that,What in the episode of "the puppy"(that she gives to Phoebe)she said:"I know becouse I gave up 2 children(I thought she is talking about Phoebe and Ursula),What about Frank? Thanks G
Terry Garr.
Frank Jr and Phoebe are only half sibilings. They do not have the same mother, only the same father. Frank is "the result" of Phoebes dad's second marriage.

Hmm, this is a difficult issue.
First a few words about me: I live in Denmark, I have not seen every episode and therefore I am not an expert on this wonderful show...
OK, here we (I) go:
1. Teri is the mother of Phoebe and Ursula 2. Frank Buffay Senior is father of Phoebe and Ursula and Frank Buffay Junior
? But is Teri also the mother of Frank Buffay Junior? Or is there a third (unknown) party involved?
At some point Phoebe/Ursula's grandmother dies. Frank Buffay shows up for the funeral (and lies about his name).
The next day, he gives Phoebe a note to give to (girlss name here) and Phoebe tells him that (girlss name here) died 17? years ago.
I hope this can help - or maybe make someone else contribute to this thread...
Hey, I came up with a word for this tricky subject: Phoebeology - yeah! :-)

Hi short answer no. They only have the same father you see Frank Jrs mom in the episode when Phoebe meets Frank Jr (sorry cant think of the name)
The girls name is Lily, Phoebes other mom. The one that raised her.

Teri is the actress's name. The mother's name is Phoebe Abbott.
Yep. His first wife Lily brought up the twins as her own daughters after Phoebe Senior ran off. Ursula discovered the truth when she read Lily's suicide note, but she destroyed it to prevent Phoebe Jr from finding out.
The episode was 221 "TOW the Bullies", although the young lad who dropped a condom in Phoebe's coin collection in 206 "TOW the Baby on the Bus" *might* also have been Frank Jr.

I missed the episode in which Phoebe reunites with her father, Frank, Sr., which aired some time ago. What WAS the reason why Frank, Sr. ran off when Phoebe and Ursala where little, and how and why did he meet up with Frank, Jr.'s mom? (Played be Laraine Newman.)
BTW, can anyone tell me the name of Frank, Jr.'s wife and why they were unable to conceive, leading up to Phoebe's decision to be their surrogate mother of their children. (She had triplets, two boys and a girl.)
Frank Jr.'s wife was named Alice. She was Frank's home ec teacher. She could not conceive, she was too old. The babies were actually two girls and a boy: Frank Jr. Jr. (boy), Leslie (girl), and Chandler (girl).
I don't know if the children's names have ever been written down on the show but since Leslie spelled ie is a man's name and Lesley spelled ey is a woman's name, it might make it clearer to call her Lesley.
Not that that will help poor old Chandler...

Actually I think that it helps Chandler to be more in touch with his feminine side, since it offsets his homosexual panic.

Did you take account of the fact that a good 40 of those female Leslies have "(aka Lesley)" after their names? (That doesn't come out of the 80 total since the IMDB calculates these things weirdly.)
And as I said, almost all of the female Leslies are American...

No, people think that calling their children by bizarre/mispelled/wrong-gendered names is "smart" and it's not. That's not "not being neat", it's being "dumb".
I know a couple whose daughter was named Jesse - they refused pointblank to believe it was a male name until shown a) a Bible b) a names book and c) an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard. They did at least have the grace to change the spelling of their daughter's name to Jessie before the child was christened.

Indeed.
And let us not forget "Shirley"...
I know a couple who have two toddlers of the same age who look exactly like each other (as far as strangers can see) except that one is a boy and the other is a girl - they refused pointblank to believe that their children are not identical twins.

FRANK: No but he didn't really talk about anything.
FRANK: Except stilts.
FRANK: Yeah, he loved stilts. One time I was upstairs, I was stealing
cigarettes out of my mom's purse, and uh, all of a sudden I look
over and there's my dad's head bobbing past the window. He just
had this big smile on his face and he was waving 'cause he was
always happiest when he was on his stilts.FRANK: Yeah.
FRANK: Me neither. So you're like my big sister.
FRANK: This is huge, you can buy me beer.
FRANK: I gotta friend named Mark.
FRANK: Cool, alright. So maybe, ya know, I could give you a call sometime, we could talk or somethin'.
FRANK: Alright.
FRANK: Okay, yeah.
FRANK: Yeah hey, you know if you want I can take you around back and show you where he hit his head on the rain gutter.

FRANK: How are you?
FRANK: Hi.
FRANK: Hey.
FRANK: Whoa!
FRANK: Whoa!!
FRANK: Hey, how do you guys get anything done?
FRANK: Yeah, I was thinking that maybe we could go down to Times Square
and pick up some ninja stars. And, oh, um, my friend Larry, he
wants me to take a picture of a hooker.FRANK: What?
FRANK: What, wait, you mean like this? (does it)
FRANK: You're not doing it.
FRANK: When's your birthday?
FRANK: I know a guy who's the 18th.
FRANK: October 25th.
FRANK: Melt stuff.
FRANK: Yeah.
FRANK: Yeah, you can melt art. Hey, can I use your phone?
FRANK: No, I wanna melt it.
FRANK: (starts laughing) Yeah!
FRANK: G'night.
FRANK: Oh, excellent. (starts to melt the fire extinguisher's hose.)
FRANK: Whoa! Big octopus.
FRANK: Hey, what kind of work do you do?

FRANK: (starts laughing) Wow! That's wild! No, I had no idea.
FRANK: You mean like watch?
FRANK: Well, I don't think this, y'know.
FRANK: Yeah! Hey, do Monica & Rachel work there?
FRANK: Ow!-Ow!-Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Y'know, ow!
FRANK: She broke my arm.
FRANK: No, she touched mine first!
FRANK: So wait, what's the deal here, I can have sex with you, but I can't touch you?
FRANK: No, you're a masseuse, it's cool, I'm not a cop.
FRANK: Wait that's-that's, what that's not what you do?
FRANK: I don't know, I mean, y'know, this is the city y'know, I just, I mean, I don't know.
FRANK: Oh, wait, no you're right, no it was perfect and I can't believe that I screwed it up so bad.
FRANK: Well, no, maybe-maybe it wasn't perfect, but y'know it was pretty cool, y'know, 'cause we had all those great talks y'know.
FRANK: Well y'know about the tongue thing, y'know, and how I told you about my likes and my dislikes...
FRANK: How-how I like to melt stuff, and how I dislike stuff that doesn't melt.
FRANK: Yeah, y'know I feel like I can really talk to you 'cause y'know you're my sister, y'know.
FRANK: Then I go feel your friend up and make you mad at me.
FRANK: You hopped a little bit. Yeah, I really sorry.

FRANK: You don't have it any more?
FRANK: Okay, so wait, alright, so how does that make things better?
FRANK: Okay, so what you used to have with Rachel, is what I've got with Alice.

don't see how I could all of the sudden be too young, 'cause I'm
older than I was when we first got together.FRANK: Yeah, if the best is like unbelievable pain!

FRANK: Yeah, and they-and they say that our-that our only chance to have
a baby is that if they take my sperm, her egg and put it together
in a dish and then put it into another girl. So we were wondering
if you could be the girl that we could put it into.FRANK: Hi!
FRANK: Yeah, so we just thought we'd stop by and let you know there's still no pressure.
FRANK: (noticing the puppy) Oh, who's this little guy?! (Grabs the puppy)
