Lets be constructive here. Google itself, for what it was previously, was great. The google crap at deja.com is clearly useless. It will almost certainly get better, but can never possibly satisfy former deja lovers, because they won't design it anything like it was before, something which they openly admit on their cover page. What I don't understand is why anyone would want to use a web based interface for any real usage of usenet anyway. The painfully slow page transisions, the bottleneck not being the user end by any means, made it impossible to use in the working daytime. Every ISP i've ever heard of has a news server, and there MUST be SOME news servers that allow public access SOMEWHERE in the world. Anyone with Windows has MSIMN, OE4 or OE5, which whilst not the best fully featured newsreader available, is by far the easiest to set up and start using, so why not just use it?

Cause she can't get through to the newsgroup easily, as Google have done away with Deja's useful service and made it useLESS.
