400,00 GBP per episode?

According to Virgin Radio news the cast have been offered �400,000 (approx. $600,000) per episode to continue after season 6.

All members currently receive just over $100,000 per episode, so that would be a huge pay cut. I wouldn't trust virgin radio news. Doesn't make sense.

Note that the 'Seinfeld' figures are for the previous year, and the networked offered a huge increase for the show to continue, which Mr.Seinfeld turned down. Even so, the "also-rans" on the show were on SIX times as much money as the 'Friends' ensemble.

Incidentally, in Britain, 'Seinfeld' had a tiny following compared with 'Friends', 'Frasier' trails in second place & is losing its former popularity, and 'Home Improvement' came *nowhere*.

I love all facts like that. it is great. How much are the voices on the Simpsons getting? i know they wanted a huge rise a while back. did they get it? I think it was Harry Shearer who said that they were getting an obscene amount of money for what they do, but they are making an obescely obscene amount of money for the network, so they wanted a bigger piece of the pie. Supposedly Helen Hunt and Paul Riser each made a cool million per episode in the last season or two of Mad About You.

The body of the article commented on how low the Friends figure was, but it may have been just before they received a pay rise. You could argue that CF & SMG were on *half* the above figures, as AMB & BTVS are 'one-hour' shows!
