Freevote poll--Let Matthew win

Hey everyone,

Matthew is currently losing a poll located at www.freevote.com/booth/hunk5 to Kevin Richardson by about 4,500 votes. Please help me get him first, it won't take you too much time (I was able to vote 411 times in about 10 minutes!), so please vote as many times as you can. Everyone can vote about 20 times, right? LOL I'm voting and voting, and then reloading to check the count, and it's jumping up by hundreds, when I've opnly voted 20-30 times. I don't think I'm the only one on the site <g> but man, this is hard work!! hehehe

I just went voting again and... 3462 votes to go! Yay!! It'll just take 50 people to vote 70 times, or 100 people to vote 35 times. Even probably less as I may go again vote a few hundred times. Please go =)

Doesn't it bother you that you are tainting the results of a vote? I realize that this sort of thing happens a lot on the net, but I don't see why it would be so important for Matthew to win a vote especially when the people voting know that he did not win in a fair manner. I would suspect that the people putting this vote on would like to know who people think is better or who has more fans, not which ones' fans will go to the most extremes to see their favorite win.

Even if you don't agree with this point of view, it is still a fair contest because fans of all the candidates can do the same thing. Isnt it a little stupid to vote more than once? Because it doesnt show that Matthew is better looking than Kevin, it just shows that Matthew's fans know how to click a button a bunch of times, and have waaayy too much free time on their hands. Plus Kevin is a lot better looking than Matthew. You would have never caught me saying that about a year and a half ago, but now....

Well you know, there are plenty of people who have a spare half hour.. adeline herself said it only took 10 minutes to vote a bunch of times. IMO, that's not WAYYY too much time on our hands.

And secondly, if you even bothered tog o to the site, it clearly staes above the vote list that it is set in 'crazy' mode, and that you are free to vote as many times as you like.

Well, even *that* is debatable... the whole idea of people being beautiful is subjective. What is beautiful to one person may not be beautiful to another. The number of people who share such an opinion is irrelevant. With that in mind, all results of *all* polls like this are invalid, whether they're lowly internet polls or big "official" ones like the Most Beautiful People list.

As Claire says, all it shows is who has the more obsessive fans, not who has the more votes. And with that in mind, I'm not surprised Kevin Richardson is winning... he's a Backstreet Boy who's just got married, for cryin' out loud!
