Courteney has another miscarriage??

Friends telly beauty Courteney Cox is heartbroken after suffering a second miscarriage. The 37 yr old star was rushed to a Beverly Hills hospital after suffering severe abdominal pains. A source said: "she's devastated. she can't believe this had happened for a second time and is beside herself with grief. She has been so looking forward to having a baby and was making lots of plans." Courteney - Monica in the smash-hit TV sitcom - had her first miscarrige last May. She and actor hubby David Arquette, 30, have been trying for a family for the past year. And they were thrilled when Courteney was confirmed pregnant again in December. The millionaire couple - who starred together in the hit Scream movies - looked glowing at the Golden Globe bash two weeks ago. But tragedy struck days later. Courteney and the five other stars of Friends are negotiating with telly bosses to extend their contracts. The six actors have demanded a staggering �1million per episode to film two new series.

Searching around, I couldn't find any more information. A couple of British sites repeat the same story virtually word-for-word. However, just because the source may be suspect, I don't think we can completely discount the report. There are enough details and specific information that I am inclined to believe the story is substantially accurate. Consider the following: 1. Courteney had a miscarriage last May 2001. That has never been officially denied to my knowledge. 2. The British tabloids were the first to report it then. 3. It is a fact that the risk of miscarriage increases significantly if a woman has already had one. They reported that the first one occured 12 weeks after getting pregnant. If the second one is true, it will have happened almost in the same time period. 4. There have been independent reports of Courteney and her husband entering a pregnancy clinic posted on alt.tv.friends recently. If she wasn't pregnant at the time, it would be a curious place to visit.

I wouldn't be surprised if the second miscarriage, like the first, is never officially denied. Here in puritanical America, these gruesome personal trajedies don't make it into the mainstream media. As a fan of Friends and the beautiful Courteney Cox, I don't want to believe this news anymore than anyone else does. If it's true, we owe her our deepest sympathies in what must be a time of great personal challenge. Hang in there, Courteney.

If she were to know we were discussing this, I'm sure she'd appreciate our sympathies much more if we weren't simulatiously gossiping about her and her husband's very personal life that they obviously don't feel the need to make known one way or the other.
