Of course, this is all crap. They simply haven't shown them for quite some time, but they are supposedly still there.

i read somewhere that the writers/etc. just got tired of it bc it was getting "a little old," so they just kinda cut it off the show without saying anything about it. but they did so in a way that viewers wont really notice it for a while (as in many, many episodes later).
