They started it all. From the very first episode, it was clear these two were going to be together. In the first few seasons, they were a huge part of why Friends was successful. They hooked us. They kept us coming back. We couldn't wait for them to get together. When they finally did, we loved it. There are those who say they were boring. To that I say, nonsense. Now 7 years after it began, they're barely an afterthought in the minds of the writers. They've been cast aside as though they never even existed. Ross and Rachel and their fans deserve better than this. Since next season is likely the last, the writers have one more year to redeem themselves. Unfortunately, I have very little faith that they will.
