question about Wendy's

hi everyone. I'm not very god in english and I have a problem to udnerstand what means: Wendy's. It was in a 921th episode. Is it an american holiday or something?? Thank You

I dont remember the refrence to Wendys from that episode but there is no holiday in America called Wendys

However there is a restuaunt which a man called DAVE THOMAS named after his daughter WENDY

Wendy's is a fast food resturaunt They serve hamburgers, french fries, Salads & Frosties (chocolate shake)

In the 80's they coind the popular phrase "Where's the Beef" There was a little old lady in the commercials that would yell out "WHERE'S THE BEEF" It was there way of advertising that Wendys offers more meat on their burgers than Mc Donalds or Burger king.

4 those of us in america who have eaten there: Seems to me like their meat is quite thin so I would tend to ask the same question...

I've been away, but it didn't seem that you got your answer. Wendy's is a fast-food hamburger place similar to a McDonald's or Burger King. They all feature various types of hamburgers, but Wendy's tries to distinguish itself by advertising that they use only fresh ground beef, not frozen, and the burgers are prepared at the time you order. They also have milkshakes, chicken sandwiches, larger french-fried potatoes than their competition and most stores/restaurants also have a fresh salad bar.

The founder, David Thomas, who was a Kentucky Fried Chicken store manager at one time, was well known for doing his own national commercials for Wendy's in a rather down-played style. In the early commercials we would hear the voice of Wendy, but no one ever saw her. I believe Mr. Thomas recently passed away.
