In the lastest edition of a glossy celeb mag called OK thats available over here in England was an interview with Lisa Kudgrow, going by what she said series 9 is the end of Friends, so no series 10.
Hope they have have looked after their money as no more big Friends pay cheques anymore. Plus apart from Jen who Ive read could be up for an oscar nomination for her latest movie, the other 5's movie careers have either stuttered to a stop, or the movies have gone stright to video/dvd, and have been more or less empty theater turkeys. :(
Because it takes more then a degree of reasonable acting talent to have your own series successful or not, and besides the audience at home will notice in a moment Jen is missing. Matt and Matthew did seriously think of having a spin of Joey and Chandler show, but they got laughed out of the office.
Jennifer hasn't had such a stellar movie career either, up until her indie film this year. Anyway, looks like at least one Friend is following in her footsteps:
December 10, 2002
LOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- When "Friends" wraps its current -- and possibly final -- season in the spring, Matthew Perry (news) will catch the indie film "Fever," marking his first starring turn in a dramatic role on the big screen.
Robin Tunney (news) will star opposite Perry, with film editor Mia Goldman making her directorial debut on the project from her own script.
Lasse Hallstrom is executive producing "Fever," which follows the story of a couple who are shocked out of the predictability of their relationship by an event that challenges them to either love more deeply or lose each other for good.
"Mia is a gifted filmmaker and has crafted a wonderful screenplay," Hallstrom said. "Her ideas are inspired, and casting Matthew Perry is a great addition to the film."
Thomas Barad ("Crazy People") is producing.
Also on Perry's feature film slate are a sequel to "The Whole Nine Yards" and "The Beginning of Wisdom" opposite his father, John Bennett Perry. His other feature credits include "Serving Sara," "Three to Tango," "Almost Heroes" and "Fools Rush In." His role as Chandler Bing on "Friends" landed him a lead actor Emmy Award nomination at this year's ceremony. He is repped by CAA and Chapin Management.
Goldman and Hallstrom are both repped by UTA. Goldman's editing credits include "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "The Big Easy" and "Something to Talk About." She is currently editing "The Wedding Party."
Tunney is repped by CAA. She most recently starred in "Cherish" and stars in the upcoming Sundance selection "The Secret Lives of Dentists."
