You have to download mirc (mirc.com) first. Then you can get the channel when you log on to it.

dalnet isn't a news server but a irc network. You might look for #downloadfriends on irc.dal.net. First register your nick on http://www.dal.net

In order to log on to dal.net, you'll need an irc client.
