I am just one of those annyoing j/r fans that points out stuff that is againist r/r and annoys everyone (hence annoying j/r fan) Anyway this is my viewpoint on the situation.
Ross and Rachel were great, they were cute, everyone loved them, we are still all expecting them to get together, but yet they were not really going out for that long of time; considering the amount of pressure put on their relationship. They got together some-time after the list let's say around 215 and they broke up after the break incident which was around 316. That is only about one season. Then they did get back together, but however that lasted one day because they were both acting too immature to actually keep the relationship together.
If the writers really didn't want to start this whole J/R thing they certainly didn't take any pains to make sure there wouldn't be any seeds planted toward a j/r relationship such moments are having Rachel move in with Joey and having her not switch with Phoebe. Certain j/r moments have started ever since they became roomates and they had great chemistry. It was so cute. Also in NBC they do list the first true love as Chandler and Monica's which shows that there is still uncertainty about the r/r/j triangle
It's not that I won't be happy if r/r end up together. I would preferr j/r after what I have seen these last few seasons. They have unbelievable chemistry and I just love how cute they are. The thing I overall want is all the friends to be happy joey and rachel and ross all to find love. I don't care who with but I just think j/r are better during this sesason. Sorry I just cannot see r/r together anymore. I have given up.
