Joey & Phoebe

I'm waiting for Joey and Phoebe to get together, even though it is obvious.

Yes you're absolutely right. Everybody thats been Friends for 7 years should pair up. Its a worldwide convention.

Sarcasm aside, they'll never pair up Joey and Pheobe in my opinion, they won't want to for fear of backlash, and that'd be HUGE and not just from us little people, the TV press also. They approached the subject perfectly some time early in season 6, when Joey says something about maybe they should hook up, and Pheobe reveals her masterplan. The point the writers make here, is its good for a joke, but a really quick and painful suicide for the show if explored any further. Besides which, while for a few years Friends did a good job of stating that in real life lots of exciting things don't happen every day, by depicting normal life. This didn't mean it had to rely on relationships for everything. Theres only so many times we want to watch the same things over and over again. R+R was a good idea, C+M was a good idea, but grating in many peoples minds now, so lets just not go down this road again.

Agreed ... after all, the show is *not* called "Couples" ! This is also why I've never liked C&M, but that puts me in a *very* small minority ... oh well.

I barely read books let alone discuss them :)

What about a movie? Or what about some people that you meet. Yes I know they are real people but lets say you meet these people then never see them again. If they do something that intrests you aren't you going to remember it and think maybe even tell your friends about it?

I never said I wouldn't talk about them, I just think it gets a little stupid when you have 30 people arguing over two fictional people being a better couple than two other fictional people.
