Does anyone know the song playing in the background when Rachel and Ross kiss at the end? I'm dying to find that song. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think he means the one where ross finds out about the baby, I think he mean the one when the kissed for the very first time ever.

I'm not sure the name of the song, but I believe it comes from industry library music. I hear it in the background of other shows sometimes, like on E! or TLC.

Okay, I think I'm going to act like a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and say, "Final Answer," even though this is going to be rather unsatisfactory. As best as can be determined, this music was simply created by the WB Studio (where the show is taped). That has been my suspicion for some time. I have had several people e-mail me supporting this conclusion. One person remembers reading an official Friends newsletter from Warner Brothers, stating this. Another person tells me they've heard the same music used in other Friends episodes, played as one scene changes to another.

For those of you who are still clinging to the belief that you just know you've heard the song before, here's information on the other theories going around: It reminds many people of some U2 songs, like Where the Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, With or Without You, Pride (In the Name of Love) . But I've checked all those and none were an actual match. Another person claimed it is She Sells Sanctuary, by The Cults. I listened to that, and while it had some similar qualities, I concluded it was also not a match. ---

The whole piece there lasted about three minutes and just repeated the same guitar riff over and over, though it got quieter at some points and louder at another.

There exists music known as "library music" which producers can pull out and use as they see fit (I had a set of MIDI library music which came with my ----- [manufacturer deleted because they're jerks] drum machine). I expect this clip is just library music that fit the mood they wanted.

I think where I work we even own several volumes of the WB library. (known as industrial music libraries). If only I had the time to search through it and see if I can find it. I too, have heard it on several other shows. It screams industry music.
