I don't think Rachel having a baby will be good for the show, just look at what happend to Murphy Brown, it was a good show then she got knocked up and everyone was like, who was the father? The painter? Her boss? Then they could not fit it in, they could not write around it, it led to the inevetable end of the show.

The problem with MB was not her pregnancy. I always thought that that season when she was pregnant was the show's high point. The problems began when the child existed. That problem won't occur for Friends, since next season will be its last. A baby may be born at the end of the season, but that'll be it.
