Storyline: Monica buys an expensive pair of boots that look good but doesn’t realize the pain that comes with them and tries to keep that fact secret from Chandler.

Review: At first I thought it was going to be another filler Mondler storyline but to my surprise it was another Season 8 Mondler storyline that was quite funny. There were really no real funny quotes in the storyline . But a lot of the funny stuff was physical such as Monica running as quick as she can out of her sneakers to change into her boots, Monica wincing in pain after the Christmas party at Chandler’s work, and Chandler’s piggy-back ride. But if I had to say who delivered some of the best lines it would have to be Monica; again not really funny but a bit amusing. “They’re killing each of my toes one by one.” then followed by the fact that Rachel wants them. Besides Monica wincing in pain throughout much of the episode, the scene where they stop by a store window that has a pair of boots that Monica likes, was quite funny too especially with Chandler running off as quick as he can. Again physical comedy. It was a decent storyline but not a filler.
Storyline Grade: 84 (B) -------------------------------------- Storyline:: Joey’s sister, Dina, supposedly visits Joey to talk to Rachel about fashion but brings more unexpected news for Rachel and her brother, who becomes tormented by the fact that his sister doesn’t want to become married with the child’s father.
Characters: Joey, Dina (Marla Sokoloff), Rachel, and Bobby
Review: All I can say is we saw Red Joey tonight. It’s odd that his sister, Dina, has a thicker NY accent than Joey does, but that’s beside the point. It was kind of disappointing to have Joey frustrated the whole time instead of being a lot more funny. One of the rare few funny moments was him pretending to be his role as the reverend again to marry Dina and the father of her child’s baby, Bobby. The thing I did like about Joey was that while he was very upset about the news it was only because he was being big brothery. I mean I would be the same way if my sister were to do the same thing but at the same time I would know that it’s her decision but I don’t have to be happy with it, just like Joey doesn’t have to accept that. I think basically Joey is hurt about his sister’s news because it could some what show how he really feels about Rachel being a single pregnant mother. So instead of yelling at Rachel, he could have taken it out on his sister. May not be true but pyschological I could be right. I was waiting though for Rachel to come and interrupt Joey’s speech to Dina. Besides him being frustrated a few of the angered moments we saw with Joey, the storyline conjured some funny bits. Some examples could be Rachel hearing unexpectingly that Joey told his sister that he was the father of Rachel’s baby (or at least that’s what I got from that), the meatball sub, and the “one pregnant lady at a time” quote. It’s the first time we have seen Joey big brothery since season 3, but at the time was still being a good friend to Chandler. Overall the storyline showed Joey’s true feelings on single pregnant mothers. I liked the storyline but I wish there were a few more funny Joey moments. As for Bobby, him trying to hit on Rachel was the funniest part he did.

Storyline:: After realizing Ross’ son, Ben, goes to the same school as Sting’s, Phoebe tries her luck any which way to get the sold out NY Sting Concert.
Characters: Phoebe, Ben, and , Trudie Styler (as herself)
Review: Well Phoebe again delivered some of the funniest lines of the episode. It would take me too long to name them all but a few I will point out. Some of them are the “Ross can”(imitation of Sting’s song Roxanne), Phoebe pretending she was a lesbian, stealing Sting’s pen, trying to find a secret passage way through the bookcase, and thinking the Police (Sting’s former group) was actually coming. The storyline wasn’t really that interesting but the jokes that went along with it were. Kudrow’s comic timing is pretty good and this episode showed it. It would have been funny to have seen Ross go along with Phoebe to get the tickets but he didn’t like the plan at first so obviously he wasn’t going to. The ending of the storyline was funny as Phoebe deliberately wants to be at her closest with Sting and anybody related to him.

-Aniston is starting to look like she did in early Season 7 with the new hairstyle.
-A bigger step up from The One With the Rumor
-David Schwimmer was rarely in this episode. He was only in the Coffee house scenes, oddly enough. --------------------------------------
