Last night's show

I think this was the first time that I didn't like Richard. And it wasn't because I was ruiting for Chandler to win Monica over, but it was because he was acting like a pompous, arrogant jerk. Not at all a quality Richard has ever expressed when he appeared in the 3rd season. I'm sure the producers did this on purpose, so that we, the fans can easily reject the Richard/Monica romance, and maybe even forget that they were once in love.

I thought that Lisa Kudrow was the best actor last night. She was pure phoebe, which is something we haven't seen her be in a long time. Joey was also being the old Joey that we haven't seen for awhile. Everybody on this show was doing what they were supposed to do, and that's something that hasn't really been done in a long time.

The Chandler/Richard scene was well done. I was glad to see Chandler finally fighting for something he truly wants, and never let up.

And then the proposal....What can I say? I think that scene speaks for itself. I found it extremely moving. I don't know if Matthew and Courtney were really emotional in that scene or just acting, because what they showed us was wonderful performanes from both actors. I can't wait for the wedding to see how they really try to handle it. :)

I liked the dance scene during the closing credits. It was a really nice quiet moment for them to share with us, the viewer, however, I would have ended it a different way. My way would have been keep the Clapton song "wonderful tonight" (one of my favorite songs) and show flashbacks of Mon and Chan where they began. Unless the producers have something like that in mind for next season, or whenever they have the wedding.

All in all, it was a joy to watch. Nice way to end this season. The downfall? We have to wait 5 more bloody months to see the season premiere. It's an olympic year you know? Ugh....

Yeah I know, but at least there was no cliffhanger, which I was really happy with this time around..the final scene was so sweet. Matt le Blanc did a great job..he's really been a highlight this season, IMO..here's hoping him & Phoebe get some good stories going next season. Anyway.. I don't mind that much about having to wait because I love the Olympics :)

Hey Grrl - Looks like we watch the same shows. I would much rather watch NEW friends than the Olympics! But last nights show was IN-credible! And I thought Richard was in character - he stepped up for his man and when he realized that Chandler had grown up and DOES love Monica, he stepped down like the gentleman he is.

PLUS, they didn't need Bruce Willis to make this one of the best episodes EVER!

Yeah lol I was just noticed your sig in a different post ;) .I agree that this season wasn't that bad. Of course it's not the same as it used to be, but I'm glad it's not..you can't stay the same forever without getting stale. I can't wait to see what happens next year. The show usually doesn't premier until the last week of September, so what's a couple of more weeks? It'll probably mean a couple of less repeats & a later finale next season.

I also was happy about the no cliff hanger ending. It would've drove me nuts! especially being a C+M fan, I may not have made it, especially with the extra wait because of the Olympics, which really sucks.....

Be thankful you aren't satellite-less and live in Britain, we have 6 month gaps between finales and premieres (finishes in december, starts in july, eck :( )

but if you have good firneds with satellitle like myself it's not too bad :)
