It would be great if the adoption didnt work out & Monica suddenly end up pregnant!

I forgot - WHY can't they have children - was IVF not an option or was it tried?

Chandler and Monica get to the hospital and find out that they are not having one baby (via adoption mom), but twins!!!!!!! If this spoiler is true, it would be great!! and then I would think it would be better if they could somehow incorporate Monica actually getting pregnant maybe in one of the last two episodes?? This would actually *not* be great in real life. I have an adopted child and it would have been very difficult if I had become pregnant soon after adopting him. It'd be even more difficult now, because no matter how hard we tried he might think of himself as not as fully a member of the family as the biological child.

It's a myth that often adoptive parents find themselves suddenly pregnant (statistically that hardly ever happens) and even more of a myth that it would be a good thing.

As an adoptive parent I'm hoping for a smooth, happy adoption -- a rarity, unfortounately, in popular media.

I've never worked in adoption but I'm sure the adoption proceedings are not even STARTED without an ultrasound to verify the pregnancy. The ultrasound would pick up the twin pregnancy, etc. I know this is just a TV show but it should follow *some* real world guidelines. Also, having twins is so cliche for TV. I would rather see a nice, normal adoption. I agree that Monica and Chandler are are going to make *great* parents but no need to shower them with babies.
