IMO, the best ep (or at least one of the best) of the season.

it made me laugh out loud a few times, and i enjoyed myself all the way through...annnnd Ross still likes Rachelllll (or so it appears :o)

some memorable/funny moments : -Chandler's "Oh yeah, it was real sad when the guy stopped drawing the deer!" -Joey's "You sick bastards!" -Pheobe's "Oh, my god what am I doing?" -Monica/Chandler's "When I die, and you are writing the eulogy (sp?) and you reach in the drawer and theres a letter from me, saying i will always be with you...and you dont shed a single tear, i know you will be crying inside... - Oh, thats sweet, I love y-WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!?" -Joey knocking over the chair to get to the TV when he hears its Ursula, and not Pheobe in the video -Ross's slides -Rachel's "How hard is it to not kiss someone? look at us, now, not kissing!!" -Buffay the vampire layer -Chandler's crying at the end

all in all, a great episode!

While reading this ng for the past week I came to the conclusion that I could not post what I thought about 613 until I saw 614 because everyone was criticizing and watching the ending changes things usually. Now that I saw both I can gladly say that they (the writers) made up for last week very much. I personally thought that last week's Monica and Chandler plot was painful to watch, but the crying in 614 was excellent. . . Except for the fact that matthew perry's crying was NOTHING like real crying, but i'm not sure if it was meant to be that way yet.

I was also happy to see that Phoebe got to stay in the show for the entire episode, that's always nice. And her lines were great "What am I doing?"! And of course as usual, Matt was exceptional. I was laughing so hard when he said bastards! I can't believe he has never gotten a nomination for any awards. His facial expressions continue to be classic.

Well I finally arrived at my favorite part: Ross and Rachel. As a huge fan of the couple (I shall forever call them that), I was a little displeased last week with both of them. I guess it was mostly because I was left in suspense and I hate having to wait for resolutions to their plots. Either way though, 614 was great with them. I think they both gave an outstanding performance, and for the millionth time i'm going to say that jennifer aniston is way too underrated, she cracks me up. I really liked how they both showed their feelings to a certain extent at the very end, but I thought the scene was ruined with chandler's attempt to cry. It'll furthermore be ruined by the fact that they won't mention any of this ever happening until who-knows-when, if ever at all. Sigh. Another storyline with potential dropped, but at least I have that one wonderful scene on tape to watch over and over.

I think Joey's naiveness (not a word) is part of what makes that character so good. The way he didnt want to see Pheobe in the porn movie was really sweet and loyal.

About the whole ross and rachel storyline......I sensed some Emily in Rachel. Now, granted I posted a few weeks ago, about Janine pulling an emily as well. But with reason. This week I also sensed a little in rachel. She called ross and the first thing she said was, "What the hell is my sister doing there??!?!!?!!!" And ross, trying to calm her down says, "Rach, Rach. No it's ok, really. She just came over to talk. Really. Etc......." Did that conversation remind anyone else of the conversation ross and emily had in which they got divorced??

The best explanation I can make out is that since Ross has been
physically intimate with Rachel, and was in fact in a sham marriage with
her, Jill is kind of like his emotional sister-in-law and as such should
be untouchable.  (I personally would find the idea of dating any of my
brother-in-laws very uncomfortable.)   Rather like Monica was unable to
date Richard's son.  Still, that should ick out Ross more than it does
Rachel.    My guess is that s just doesn't want him to date anybody who
is close to her.  Or actually, anyone at all.   Ever.  For the rest of
his life.  But you figured that out, didn't you?

Yeah. Actually, my theory last week was that the reason why she hated the idea of Ross dating Jill was because Rachel is afraid that Jill could actually win him over if she wanted to, i.e., make a long-term go of it. But, it's just a theory.

LOL and the UKers will know this... but how ironic that Helen Baxendale's new characters name in that tv show Cold Feet (I hope it has the same name over there..) is Rachel....
