ok. Did anyone see this? NBC said "who's pregnant?" blah blah blah. Well we know that rachel's pregnant. Another question they asked was "who's the daddy? Is it Ross, Joey, or tag who had been seen kissing Rachel?" Now my question: Was the clip of rachel and tag kissing taken from an episode this season while they were dating? Or is that new? This could decide if Tag is the father.
I'm pretty sure it was from "TOW Chandler Doesn't Like Dogs."

true, but if it's a new clip of them kissing, then chances are they're back together and he's the father.
It's definately either Ross' (most likely) or a character we haven't seen yet. I have read a spoiler from someone reliable you see.

Grin. You are not accustomed to NBC previews, are you? The clips they put in the ads are almost always designed to mislead the viewer, not give valid hints on new information. The clip is almost certainly not new; it is common for them to use old clips when they are bolstering interest in the new season. They won't unveil the new goodies until it's time to rope us all in.
There is one rumor that MUST be put to rest. Brad Pitt is not playing a new character. David Crane has stated very clearly that the father is an established character we've seen before. That means it's probably Ross or Tag, with an outside possibility that some old boyfriend might turn up. And it is not impossible that we find out Gunther finally got what he wanted, though I don't really think the character is strong enough to properly help her carry this storyline. Honestly? It probably would be a more interesting story if it turned out to be Ross. I know most of you will consider that a kneejerk reaction from me, but hear me out. There's simply a richer history to mine with him than with anybody else, and if Crane says they came up with enough new ideas to warrant a ninth season, that means this child represents an unusually complicated number of severe problems. Well, Severe Problems + Rachel = Ross. It also means Rachel's interactions with the father could conceivably continue into next year; that won't happen with a single guest spot by Pitt, and ain't no way he's joining the cast. (The baby itself cannot be the cause of all these new ideas. Babies by themselves are not really all that funny and often kill sitcoms.)
There are an abundance of twists to follow here:
1. Establishing when Ross and Rachel had their little tryst, why she let him into her bed yet again, and why this did not lead to a reconciliation. (Rachel's habit of turning Ross in and out of her bed every five minutes continues! It's a sickness! Both of them have it!)
2. Rachel's reluctance to tell Ross could go on for several episodes. Hell, he may not find out until she's in labor, the way these guys drag things out.
3. Rachel and Ross must then decide what this means for their relationship. Now, if I were Rachel's friend, I might ask why she keeps marrying, propositioning, and seducing somebody she says she doesn't want to be with. Of course, if I were Ross' friend, I would ask when he's going to tell this girl he's not her playtoy, and invite her to go to hell.
Eddie Cahill is not a strong enough actor to carry this. Pitt is, but he couldn't be around enough. Gunther has been little more than window dressing and comic relief. That really leaves Ross. Strong actor, not going anywhere, complicated history. Now, I know something that I might not have admitted years ago; I know this might not necessarily mean Ross and Rachel get back together. I am, however, so relieved to finally see a respite from the monotonous Chandler and Monica Show that I may actually start hanging around here again.
Here's another tidbit; in another recent interview, Crane openly addressed the fact that Ross got relegated to secondary status the last couple of years, and ADMITTED that the character suffered significantly. He justified it asking if he should apologize to a fictional character for allowing his writers to focus on a story they were enjoying, even at the expense of the other characters. This kind of discussion usually precedes a change in pace. If Ross were not going to be more prominent, Crane probably would not have admitted that he'd been ignored.
has anybody considered the possibility of Paolo playing the papa? You never know, rachel turned to him once, she may have again. I don't really think it's him, but it's possible.

People have long forgotten Paolo. It ain't him, just because he's probably no longer considered an "established" character (indeed, if he ever was).
Once again, I have to say that we, the fans, remember more about the show than the cast and crew. The writers probably don't even remember Paolo.
