I downloaded the one from suprnova.org and only the audio worked. is there some codec or something that i need to play it?

You need an xvid codec . Xvid is a newer codec than DivX that produces smaller files with better quality. (yes, smaller and better) The biggest problem is that there are no official binaries ("executable" versions for each OS) all of them are compiled by several individuals with different options. The source code is available in the offical site.
